MDD Knowledge Lab: Leading the Change

MDD Knowledge Lab: Leading the Change

August 25, 2022

The requirements and the complexity of sustainability reporting are constantly changing and the number of questions on how to properly implement them is growing.

On Thursday, August 25th insights on this burning topic were discovered and discussed at the MDD Knowledge Lab.

In his keynote, Arne Vilmar, Manager Sustainability Assurance at Deloitte, focused on the new era of sustainability reporting. The European Union drives an ambitious transformation of corporate sustainability reporting with the goal of directing capital flows towards sustainable activities. Comparable data and transparency on ESG impacts are at the core of these efforts to meet investor’s needs, addressing a perceived lack of consistency, reliability and comparability. Listed EU companies are already reporting according to the EU Taxonomy and will be the first in line to comply with the CSRD.

Claudia Holfert and Bjarne Bath-Albertini from SIX Group provided insights into corporate practice and what opportunities and challenges they face surrounding these topics. Julian Osborne, Founder and CEO at Pelt8 completed the circle of speakers for the final panel discussion and Q&A with our guests.
